About

CAKE. Creative Arts for Kids Expression.

Nurturing a child's spirit through the art of mentorship.

Art heals. It also improves the mind and enhances the spirit.  The CAKE initiative takes the position that we are all in it together. It really does take a village. But that village needs an initiator to connect all the pieces together. This is what CAKE does. Through unique and creative projects and programs CAKE brings  together communities, corporations, educational institutes, organizations, local government, professional artists and individuals, all committed to supporting arts education and mentorship for kids. And the common belief that with this support, we will build a better future for everyone.

CAKE is a non-profit initiative funded in part by CAKELIVE, LLC.

CAKE Projects -

Camp RED for Kids, production camp for kids where professional film makers, editors and cinematographers teach kids ages 9-15 all the elements of filmmaking in a three week intensive camp held at RED Digital Studios Hollywood every August.

Partnering with organizations like Bayfest International Youth Theatre, CAKE is able to bring arts educations to communities that have suffered economic hardship, natural disaster and ongoing challenges.  With a team of professional educators in the arts, Bayfest works with teachers and administrators to craft a program that infuses theatre, music, production and more into the actual curriculum of a class. The sessions focus on utilizing the arts to enhance children's learning experience engaging their imagination in new ways and helping to fulfill dedicated goals for improving skills in specific target ares of study. read more
